Hey Hey! Below is a short video of me talking about my surgery date scheduled for 9th June 2011. Cant believe Its only 77 DAYS away.. I have a few very exciting things to look forward to before my surgery, including my FIJI trip in 7 DAYS and my friends wedding.. so hopefully the time goes super quick!! :)
Also!! Today I visited my local dentist to get a general check up and a clean and polish which included a fluoride treatment. My teeth feel extra clean today :) My dentist was very pleased with my brushing and flossing and no fillings were to be found. I generally had very little tarter build up which was excellent to hear! Since getting my braces on, I have been trying really hard to brush them frequently. I take a spare toothbrush to work and uni to clean my teeth after every meal. I hate the feeling of having food stuck in my teeth.
I was SO excited watching this video to hear you are from Australia! It is my absolute favorite place on this earth! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my blog :) Yes! I am from sydney and its a pretty sweet place!!
ReplyDeleteHi, nice blog. I was wondering what is going to be exactly your surgery? I have currently an open bite too and i am finding out more information about possible different surgeries to fix this. I will be followinf. Good luck, from Argentina.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your surgery date. How accurate was your orthodontist about predicting pre-surgical treatment time? You are so pumped right now. Eat plenty of cake at that wedding.

ReplyDeletemy bite is really different to yours though I have an underbite, and a prominent chin, not a recessed chin

Hi Rhianna
ReplyDeleteI have an open bite too and from Sydney, who is your surgeon and ortho? What hospital are you going to?
I have just had SARPE surgery to expand my pallate and luckily for me I dont need further surgery. They are using anchorage plates to adjust my bite. I watched your video and alot of your problems are the same as mine, I talk about it on my blog too.
@Kristy. My orthodontist predicted my pre-surgical time perfectly. From the very beginning he knew I wanted to have the surgery done around May June 2011 so everything was set up in order to fit into that schedule. Because I have had braces before, I only needed them on for a minimum of 6 to 8mths. They were put on in September 2010 so plenty of time to get teeth ready for surgery. Very happy with how everything has worked out :)
ReplyDelete@leanleanleanleanleanleandro. I am having double jaw surgery, a ginoplasty and a septoplasty to correct my open bite and profile.. check out my videos for more information :)
